The Cunty Bob

By now, I’m sure we’ve all heard about the “Cunty Little Bob” , the effortlessly chic cut by Chris McMillan on the stunning Leslie Bibb. And in case you didn’t know, Chris is the same legendary hairstylist who created The Rachel (yes, that Rachel), which, let’s be honest, is kind of making a comeback.

This cut really started blowing up back in March, when Chris gave Leslie her fresh new look for season 3 of White Lotus. Though, if we’re being real, the show just wasn’t the same without Jennifer Coolidge. If I had a say in season 4, I’d either find a way to miraculously bring her back or go the prequel route. I mean picture Gaby Windey playing a young Tanya in flashbacks. You’re welcome, HBO.

Anyways, I digress.

Chris described the bob as the perfect cut for both the show’s continuity and Thailand’s intense humidity. As someone who used to work on set and spent three weeks in Thailand, I completely agree. It’s a smart, sleek, and humidity-proof choice. Also, can we take a moment for Thailand itself? Beautiful people, magical energy and the food incredible, nothing in the U.S. comes close. With the exception of Night + Market in L.A, their massama curry and roti still have me dreaming.

Okay okay, back on track. (But worth the detour, right?)

So what is the Cunty Little Bob?

It’s a blunt, one-length cut with zero layers and a very subtle angle — shorter in the back, slightly longer in the front. But don’t confuse it with an A-line bob; the angle is barely there. The goal is a clean, chic vibe. The back should be cut as close to the hairline as possible — even slightly into it — and the neckline can be shaved for that ultra-crisp finish. The line then follows the jaw, grazing it just enough to give definition.

This cut works best on people with fine hair texture and fine to medium density — ideally straight or slightly wavy. No bangs here; the look is sleek and uniform. It’s kind of the perfect alternative to the French bob, which is more suited for wavy or curly hair with medium to thick density and usually includes a fringe or micro-bangs.

Styling Tips

keep it simple a good leave in conditioner with a heat protectant built in [ my personal favs Reverie] and either a styling gel applied in your wet hair and blow dry in for hold and texture. Or swap the gel for a finishing Styling Balm. Bonus tip with Reverie a little goes a long way especially on such short hair, you wont need much.

The Gel Method - more refined look

  1. Apply Milk into wet hair and distribute evenly

  2. Apply a small amount of the gel, about a pea size, emulsify in your hands and distribute evenly through out the hair and blow your hair

  3. Start with a rough dry focusing on your roots then switch to a flat paddle brush, to smooth the hair.

  4. Optional use curling iron or wand to wrap front pieces of your hair away from your face to create a loose wave and then random pieces through the top layer of your hair only. And rake through with your fingers to loosen them up.

The Styling Balm Method - more natural tousled look

  1. Apply Milk into wet hair and distribute evenly

  2. Rough dry focusing on your roots then switch to a flat paddle brush, to smooth the hair.

  3. Grab the Rake and get about a pea sized amount into your palms and emulsify in your hands and as the name says it, rake your hands through your hair and piecing out your hair creating texture and natural movement.
